Enjoy Bridlington with a movie themed break
Bridlington is a fine place to visit, whatever the season, being a traditional seaside resort with a wide peaceful promenade and long sandy beaches.The busy harbour is a great place to stop and watch the activities of fishermen and sailors at work in or near the sea. Good old fashioned hospitality awaits you on this value break, to enjoy Yorkshire at its best.
We travel North to Bridlington via the 2017 city of culture Hull, All of the city's museums and galleries are free to enter so spend some time in the Ferens gallery or immerse yourself in Hull's maritime history at the Maritime Museum. This evening a night at the movies whist you enjoy your 4 course meal and maybe partake in a drink from the bar, selected drinks are only £1!
Today we travel from our hotel to Whitby, The Yorkshire Coast is a great place to sample delicious, freshly caught seafood, and for many a trip to the area just wouldn't be the same without indulging in some delicious Whitby fish and chips. Other things to do in Whitby include visiting the Dracula Experience on the seafront, where you can be guided through the story and learn about its connection to the town. A trip to Whitby would not be the same without climbing the 199 steps to Whitby Abbey, counting as you go, and exploring the beautiful ruins which tower over the town. The night at the movies theme continues this evening.
This morning we travel to York where we have arranged a visit to the York Castle Museum, Come and see hundreds of years of York's history in one place - from recreated Jacobean dining rooms to infamous Victorian criminals and all the way to the Space Age and the swinging Sixties.
There's something for everyone this year at York Castle Museum. The interactive galleries hold thousands of historic objects that really bring the past to life. There will be free time to spend in York before heading back to your hotel for another movie themed evening of entertainment, and of course the £1 drinks!.
After breakfast we travel just up the coast to the neighbouring town of Scarborough, Scarborough really does have it all; dramatic cliffs and castle headland, award-winning beaches, historic harbour, great family attractions, booming town centre and a warm Yorkshire welcome to match. This evening will be a themed awards ceremony so please dress to impress, there will be movie related quizzes, bingo and games for you to enjoy.
We depart the hotel for our return journey to Lincolnshire, With a comfort stop to be made at the Brigg Garden Centre, As one of the largest garden centres in the UK, Brigg offers you a unique shopping experience with everything you need for the home and garden.
