We travel To Skipton with a comfort stop in the city of Culture 2017 Hull, A visit to Hull is always the start of a great story. The cobbled streets of the city's Old Town, transports visitors back to days gone by when Hull was trading with the medieval Hanseatic League. You will arrive at your hotel with plenty of time to relax before your evening meal.
Today we travel from our hotel to RHS Harlow Carr, The gardens stand on what was once part of the Forest of Knaresborough, an ancient Royal hunting ground. Springs of sulphur water were discovered here in 1734 but development of the site as a spa did not take place for more than 100 years. In 1840, Henry Wright, the owner of the estate, cleaned out and protected one of the wells and four years later built a hotel and a bath house. Then this afternoon Harrogate is our destination, With its handsome historic buildings and verdant gardens, Harrogate is one of Yorkshire's most elegant destinations.
This morning we travel to Leeds, One of our popular destinations with the day trips, Leeds is far becoming the place to be. From high street stores to independent bespoke shops, Museums, Art Galleries, and architecture spanning the decades, you will find something for all.
After breakfast a Canal Cruise has been included, sit back and relax as your boat winds its way up the Skipton Canal, with your informative guide at hand should you have any questions. This afternoon we have set aside for you to enjoy Skipton.
We depart the hotel for our return journey to Lincolnshire, With a comfort stop to be made in York.
