Today we have a full day of rest to enjoy all The Isle of Wight has to offer

This morning a visit to Carisbrooke Castle has been included, The quintessential romantic castle, Carisbrooke is at the very heart of the Isle of Wight's history. An Elizabethan artillery fortress, a king's prison and a royal summer residence, here you'll find loveable donkeys, a fascinating museum and an Edwardian garden. This afternoon we travel to Yarmouth, Yarmouth is the Island's oldest town, with a charter dating back to 1135. Within its pretty harbour stands Yarmouth Castle, completed in 1547 as the last of Henry VIII's coastal defence forts. Its museum tells the story of a 16th century shipwreck, bringing the past vividly to life.

After breakfast we have included a ride on the Isle of Wight Steam Railway where you will get a chance to take in picture postcard views of the island. Your visit to The Award-Winning Isle of Wight Steam Railway will engage, inspire and excite you ... The sight of powerful majestic steam engines, the charm of quiet rural stations, and the friendliness of traditionally uniformed staff, will leave you with some enduring memories of a special day out.

We cannot visit the Isle of Wight without a free flow experience of Osborne House, Osborne reflects Queen Victoria and Prince Albert's passions, tastes and style. Ornate furnishings and artefacts from The Royal Collection fill rooms and corridors where Victoria entertained heads of state, inventors, princes and princesses and ruled the vast British Empire.

After breakfast we travel to Alum Bay, The crystal clear waters are a favourite for local swimmers and perfect for the children to paddle. Enjoy watching the boats moor in the bay during the day and the fisherman enjoying the tranquillity at dusk. Above Alum Bay beach stands The Needles Park where you will find a range of attractions, catering facilities, a fully licensed tea room, retail shops and not to forget the Sand shop where you can fill your own shape with a choice of the Alum Bay sands!

Today we travel home to Lincolnshire, with comfort stops enroute.
