Isle of Wight September departure new itinerary
This replaces the holiday as advertised in our 2018 brochure as the Ocean Hotel is no longer trading.
Opposite the golden beach and with panoramic views over the sweep of Sandown and Shanklin Bay, the hotel offers the comfort and care for a well deserved break. The hotels 88 well appointed rooms, with our double and twin bedded rooms with a sea view,
provide the facilities expected by todays well travelled guest.
We travel South to the beautiful Isle of Wight, with comfort stops enroute.
This morning a visit to Shanklin Chine, Carved by Mother Nature's own hands over thousands of years, the stunning tree lined gorge that is Shanklin Chine cuts its mark from Shanklin Old Village to the sandy beach and esplanade far below. Attracting many millions of visitors to wander through and marvel at its beauty over a near double century of seasonal openings, Shanklin Chine can truly say it's lasted the test of visitor time. There are few places on the Isle of Wight, let alone England,
After breakfast we have included a ride on the Isle of Wight Steam Railway where you will get a chance to take in picture postcard views of the island. Your visit to The Award-Winning Isle of Wight Steam Railway will engage, inspire and excite you ... The sight of powerful majestic steam engines, the charm of quiet rural stations, and the friendliness of traditionally uniformed staff, will leave you with some enduring memories of a special day out.
We cannot visit the Isle of Wight without a free flow experience of Osborne House, Osborne reflects Queen Victoria and Prince Albert's passions, tastes and style. After breakfast we board the coach for a circular tour of the Island, to include Pearl, Alum Bay and Yarmouth.
Enjoy a day at leisure, Meander through the quaint town or take a walk along the fine beaches
