We travel North via the spa town of Harrogate, With its handsome historic buildings and verdant gardens, Harrogate is one of Yorkshire's most elegant destinations. The Turkish baths and the variety of independent shops make this a great place to visit on your way to your hotel.
Today we travel from our hotel to Southport, Traditional seaside amusements await; stroll down the UK's oldest iron pier and try the old penny slot machines in the Pavilion at the far end, or take a walk along the beach in the sunshine. Whatever you prefer, Southport has it all.
This morning we travel to Lancaster, Shop local in Lancaster's quirky boutiques and independent galleries, or choose from renowned high street brands in Penny Street, St Nic's and Marketgate stores, and then relax in one of Lancaster's wealth of cafés, coffee shops and restaurants. The smell of coffee permeates the air as you wander the streets, and you can sample everything from locally-brewed real ales to delicious home-made soups and cakes. This afternoon a Lune Aquaduct cruise has been arranged for you to enjoy, The Lune Aqueduct is often referred to as one of the "wonders of the waterways" and is a masterpiece of civil engineering. It carries the canal 664 feet across the River Lune at a height of 61 feet (53 feet above the normal water level in the river).
After breakfast we travel South to Liverpool, With the largest collection of museums and galleries anywhere outside of the Capital, Liverpool's culture and heritage are at the very heart of the city.
Today has been set aside for you to enjoy all Morecambe has to offer, If you're in the mood for shopping, visit the boutique stores and gift shops along the Promenade. The town centre offers high street shopping whilst Central Drive Retail Park offers clothing, sportswear, gardening and homeware stores plus a large supermarket.
Fleetwood market is our destination for today, Fleetwood Market is a busy traditional market with over 150 indoor and outdoor stalls. It's a true shopper's paradise and you'll find a variety of stalls including food, clothing and household goods - all at great prices. A favourite with our passengers.
Today enjoy an excursion to the beautiful Lake District town of Grange over Sands, set between the Lake District fells and Morecambe bay, this fashionable Victorian resort hosts a traffic free promenade, ornamental gardens and shops many still retaining their Edwardian appearance and still selling local produce.
We say goodbye to our hosts and travel back to Lincolnshire, with a stop at the popular town of Skipton, As the gateway to the magnificent Yorkshire Dales, people travel the length and breadth of the country to visit this charming market town. With its famous 900 year old castle, romantic ruined priory and historic cobbled High Street, Skipton is endlessly rich both in history and outstanding natural beauty.
