Coach Holiday to Warners Corton
A popular tour year after year, our annual tour to Corton is back with a new and improved itinerary. Whilst enjoying the eventful entertainment package on site, we have also included a trip to Bury St Edmunds, Somerleyton Hall and Great Yarmouth.
Depart Lincolnshire for your journey to Corton, a lunch stop will be taken in King Lynn enroute before arriving at your hotel mid-afternoon. Enjoy time to unpack and take in your new surroundings before the evening's meal and entertainment kicks off.
Today has been set aside to enjoy the facilities your coastal village has to offer. Sign up for archery, enjoy a leisurely coffee in the onsite coffee shop or perhaps take a walk along the pebbled beach below.
Following breakfast board the coach for a day in Bury St Edmunds. An important market town with a richly fascinating heritage, the striking combination of medieval architecture, elegant Georgian squares and glorious Cathedral and Abbey gardens provide a distinctive visual charm. With prestigious shopping, an award-winning market every Saturday and Wednesday, boasting up to 80 traditional stalls and the famous Brewery, it provides the perfect day out.
Enjoy a short journey to Somerleyton Hall, Set in a beautiful 5000 acre English estate, Somerleyton Hall is widely acclaimed as one of the most beautiful stately homes in Britain. Every great country home was complemented by the ambition of its surrounding pleasure gardens and Somerleyton is a wonderful example of that Victorian vision. Visit the walled garden to discover the beautiful and ornate iron and glass greenhouses, designed by Joseph Paxton, the architect of Crystal Palace. Don't miss the 70 foot long pergola, home to wisteria, roses, clematis and vines. This afternoon visit the nearby town of Great Yarmouth, enjoy time at leisure before making your way back to your coastal village, ready to enjoy your final evening.
Following breakfast depart your hotel for your journey home, comfort stops have been included en route.
Warners Coastal Village:
Set on the Suffolk coast, near famous Southwold, Corton has all the easy atmosphere of a holiday home, with the creature comforts Warners is famous for. Built on a chalet theme, the rooms have clapboard design, with fresh pastel interiors, and many have terraces overlooking the sea. Guests can have a snack in the Coffee Lounge or enjoy cabaret in the Clyffe restaurant.
