Robin Hoods Bay Forget the deckchairs and dodgems; this is Yorkshire's coastline at its most raw and elemental. Here, brooding cliffs tower over a huddle of red roofed former fishing cottages that spill right down to the edge of the sea, creating a 'lost in time' getaway for anyone who loves unusual architecture and breathtaking scenery. Why not join them for a bracing walk or a fireside drink in a cosy inn?

Today please board your comfortable coach and travel to North Yorkshire. Your driver will ensure comfort stops are made on the way.

Today your driver will take you for a ride into Whitby, The home of the Gothic Legends steeped in history Whitby has a lot to offer. The Museums and the local bespoke shops are full of little gifts you never knew you needed and the jewellery shops specialise in the beautiful Jet which is local to these parts. This afternoon please meet the North Yorkshire Moors Railway for a journey through to Pickering. Packed with independent shops and markets, and beautiful historic and natural attractions, Pickering is a bustling and vibrant market town. Your driver will meet you so he can whisk you back to the hotel for your evening meal.

A visit into Scarborough has been arranged for today. Scarborough is established as one of our passenger's favourite destinations, not only for the seaside attractions but for the history and culture of this beautiful town.

Today we travel from our hotel to The Walled Gardens at Scampston Hall in Malton. Scampston Walled Garden is a stunningly beautiful contemporary garden, quite unlike any other, featuring modern, perennial meadow planting alongside more traditional areas, set within the 18th century walls of the original kitchen garden for Scampston Hall. Today the Walled Garden has an exciting and unashamedly modern feel to it and complements the adjacent 18th century 'Capability' Brown parkland. The garden had been derelict for nearly fifty years when Sir Charles and Lady Legard undertook the huge renovation task. The Legards enlisted the help of leading Dutch garden designer, Piet Oudolf, and the design for the walled garden was conceived in 1999. Since opening to the public in 2005, it has received a great deal of international acclaim. After your guided tour you can relax and enjoy refreshments in The Garden Café which is set in a contemporary and light building that looks out over the Walled Garden.

A full day out in neighbouring Whitby has been organised for today. Whitby and its harbour are set in a ravine at the mouth of the River Esk. Dominated by the cliff top ruined Abbey, the narrow alleys and quaint streets climb down to the busy quayside, with its harbour side houses and small shops filled with crafts, curios, and antiques. From these centuries old streets, 199 steps lead up to the parish Church of St Mary, one of the finest Anglo Saxon churches in the country. It's churchyard is famous for providing the setting which inspired Bram Stoker to write his classic novel - Dracula. Dickens and Tennyson are also known to have enjoyed the hospitality of Whitby's ancient inns. Inside the Whitby Museum discover the life story of the town's most famous inhabitant, Captain James Cook, who sailed from the port to change the history of the world. The Captain Cook Memorial Museum, his former home in Grape Lane, is furnished in the style of his times, when Whitby was the seventh-largest port in England.

Sadly we say a fond farewell to our hosts and travel back to Lincolnshire.
