Escape the brisk sea air to watch them from a cosy café overlooking the bay, or go hunting for treasures washed ashore as you take a walk along the beach.

Forget ice cream on the prom, lets go and watch the surfers. Newquay's waters rise to the occasion in November. The waves are large and numerous so you will see them out on the waves doing tricks and thoroughly enjoying themselves. If you are like me you will watch them from a cosy café overlooking the bay. On nice winter days you can take a walk along the beach and see what the tide has brought in. Turbulent waters bring treasures to the shores, if you are lucky enough to find them.

Monday

Your journey starts from home, where you will board one of our feeder coaches to meet the main coach. Enjoy a comfortable journey South in your reserved seating. Enjoy a sherry reception with mince pie upon arrival at your hotel. This evening the hotel will provide festive entertainment and the bar will be serving free drinks (selected brands) between 6pm and 9pm.

Tuesday

Your destination for today is Eden Project. More than just a huge, tropical garden, Eden is a gateway into the relationships between plants and people, and a fascinating insight into the story of mankind's dependence on plant life. Escape the winter weather and trek through the humid tropics in the Rainforest Biome. Experience the sights and scents from the Mediterranean, California, South Africa and Western Australia in the Mediterranean Biome. Maybe you may see some brave soul soar above the Eden Project Biomes on England's fastest zip wire, covering 660 metres and travelling at speeds of up to 60mph!

Wednesday

Enjoy a day at leisure at your resort. Visitors love the iconic Fistral Beach. Often pictured with azure skies and sparkling blue waves in the summer, is a different place all together in winter. Moody, picturesque and bracing, it's the best place for a winter's afternoon walk. The temperature of the water varies widely throughout the year, but the surfing carries on thanks to winter wetsuits, special cold water boots, gloves and hoods. You might even experience the legendary Cribbar Wave. When the conditions are just right, they create the famous wall of water, rising up to 30ft high just off the ocean-facing side of The Headland. As an extra bonus, the beachcombing in winter is exceptional - who knows what you'll find, quite apart from beautiful, delicate seashells. This evening you can look forward to a traditional Christmas dinner with all the trimmings and a night of festive entertainment.

Thursday

Today please join your driver for a trip into Truro. Cornwall's one and only city, Truro is known to locals as "Our Great Little City" and for good reason! Featuring in the Poldark novels, Truro once thrived as a river port. Today, the elegant Georgian town houses are a lovely backdrop to a still thriving Cornish centre. The City is dominated by the magnificent gothic revival cathedral. Around the cathedral, you will find historic back streets that are home to many independent traders.

Friday

Travel home to Lincolnshire with fresh memories of a wonderful holiday with comfort stops enroute.
