We all love long summer days, but there are some benefits to explore for winter days. During the winter months, the sun is low in the sky, and if you're lucky, you see some fantastic sunrises and sunsets on clear, cold days.

Thursday

We depart for Scotland with your festive hats on. Your friendly driver will ensure comfort stops are taken on the way and when you arrive there will be a drinks reception whilst your cases are taken to your room. After your evening meal which is served with a complimentary glass of wine, there will be an open bar from 7.30pm till 10.30pm (house brands only).

Friday

Today a relaxing start begins your day. The hotel is the perfect place to curl up in front of a log fire and keep cosy whilst all the festive preparations are in full swing for your Christmas lunch and maybe a visit from a special person if you have been good this year. This afternoon your driver will take you on a scenic tour around Loch Lomond. Although it can't be guaranteed, there's a higher chance of seeing the Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis) during the winter months, when the nights are longer and darker. Your driver will stop at a 'dark sky' area to give you the best chance. When you arrive back at the hotel your evening will be a quieter affair. The open bar will give you chance to relax with a drink after a day of wonders.

Saturday

After breakfast, With pack lunch in hand we make our way East to Edinburgh for the day. Edinburgh's beauty is both staggering and inimitable. But, the city is far more than just a pretty face. Take a closer look and there's much more to discover. The shopping ranges from the world's best luxury names, to local, independent talent just waiting to be discovered. The food, be it Michelin-starred, or pop-up street-food with award-winning chefs, is mouthwateringly delicious. From the rich - sometimes hidden - history that surrounds your every step, to the wealth of lush, green spaces peppered around the city centre, Edinburgh continually surprises, delights and inspires. Join your driver and find out why there's nowhere in the world quite like Scotland's capital city. This evening a full set of entertainment is waiting for you with Hogmany celebrations whilst you enjoy a traditional Scottish menu.

Sunday

Today we travel home to Lincolnshire. The hotel will provide a farewell hot toddy on departure. We will arrange comfort stops on the way home and hope you have had a festive Scottish time.
