Sunday 13th
Today please board your comfortable coach and travel to the outskirts of York. On your way to the hotel there will be a comfort stop in the City of Hull for a visit to The Deep. One of Hulls main attractions and home to 1000's of fish and crustations, The Deep is interactive and fun and you will have the chance to learn more about our oceans. We will arrive at the hotel with plenty of time to settle in before your evening meal.
Monday 14th
Join your driver on a visit to Castle Howard, one of England's finest historic houses. Standing within 1000 acres of parkland and formal gardens, the house is a baroque masterpiece which is centred on a striking dome. The approach to Castle Howard is as breathtaking as the arrival. The magnificent 18th century house - home to the Howard family - is lined with ornate furnishings, artwork, and world renowned collections. The Estate is also home to the Yorkshire Arboretum, a 120 acre garden of trees from around the world.
Tuesday 15th
Enjoy a day at your leisure in York. This compact cathedral city really packs a punch, with more attractions per square mile than any other city in the UK. Explore the Shambles, filled with a wealth of independent shops which was the inspiration for Diagon Alley in Harry Potter. Perhaps enjoy a river cruise, or maybe visit the National Railway Museum. There is something for everyone to enjoy.
Wednesday 16th
After breakfast, travel into Pickering for free time before boarding the North Yorkshire Moors Railway for a nostalgic trip through the countryside to Whitby. (Whitby may be a little hilly for some although the main sea front is quite level) Maybe climb the stairs to the Abbey or stay lower down in the town cafes. There is so much to do in this seaside town. Your coach will meet you and take you back to the hotel late afternoon.
Thursday 17th
We say goodbye to Yorkshire, with fond memories and new travelling friends. We will ensure a comfort stop on your return journey.
