Monday
After a hearty breakfast we depart for the ferry to Bute where we have included a visit to Mount Stuart. One of the most technologically advanced houses of its age, set in 300 acres of landscaped gardens, woodland and coast. The House is a Labyrinth of lavish rooms, grand hallways and staircases and the sight of the Marble Hall is truly captivating.
Tuesday
Today a visit to Inveraray Castle where an informative guide will provide a tour. Inveraray Castle is first and foremost a family home in which the current family has had the great privilege of growing up in. However, its very existence reflects the part played by the Campbells in the rich tapestry of Scottish and British History. The contents of Inveraray Castle span many generations of the family and we hope will give you a glimpse of the heritage and the way their ancestors lived.
Wednesday
We cannot visit Dunoon without a trip to Benmore Botanic Garden. Renowned for its fine collections of rhododendrons and conifers grown to immense stature in a mountain landscape, Benmore's 120 acres are home to a world-famous collection of plants from regions ranging from the Himalaya, China and Japan to North and South America.
