With a nice early start we board the coach for a visit to Hatfield House. Hatfield House is the home of the 7th Marquess and Marchioness of Salisbury and their family. The Estate has been in the Cecil family for 400 years. Some of the interior was used as the Featherington's House for the series, you may not see the furniture from the set but the backdrop is unmistakeable. Your knowledgeable guide will tell you about the history of the house and tell gallant tales of old. We will depart for the hotel in Woking at 4.30pm which will give you plenty of time to explore the exquisite gardens. When you arrive at the hotel you will be treated to a cookie whilst your cases are being taken to your room and time to relax before your evening meal.

After a good sleep and a hearty breakfast, we depart the hotel to visit Painshill Park. On arrival there will be an informative talk about Painshill's beautiful gardens. Your guide will also point out the Bridgerton filming locations on site so you can plan your route and not miss a thing. Painshill 18th century landscape garden was created between 1738 and 1773, by the Hon. Charles Hamilton.
Born in Dublin in 1704, Hamilton, the ninth son and 14th child of the Sixth Earl of Abercorn, embarked on two Grand Tours across Europe before acquiring the land at Painshill. With ancient artefacts in his luggage and Italian romance and natural beauty in his head - along with exotic plants seen on his tours - his vision was to create 'living paintings' in a new style of magical garden.
Inspired by Renaissance art and his Grand Tours, Hamilton went on to create a sequence of breathtaking and surprising vistas at Painshill. The landscapes form living works of art into which Hamilton placed follies for dramatic effect. This afternoon we have arranged a tour of Rangers House. The exterior of this property has been used for the series but the interior is out of this world. The artworks displayed at Ranger's House were collected by Sir Julius Wernher, a German-born businessman, in the late 19th century. This outstanding collection ranges from ornate medieval jewellery, Italian ceramics and bronze sculptures to Renaissance paintings, 18th-century French furniture and British portraits. We then travel back to your hotel for our last evening in Woking.

Today we travel into Bath and visit Wilton House for a guided tour, the interior of which was used as the set for the Duke of Hasting's home and the gardens as the setting for Hyde Park. Wilton House has been the Earl of Pembroke's ancestral home for over four and a half centuries. Rebuilt in the Palladian style in 1647 by Inigo Jones & John Webb, with further alterations made by James Wyatt in 1801, the chief architectural features are the 17th-century State Apartments and the 19th Cloisters. The Cloisters house an important collection of antique Greek & Roman statuary formed by the 8th Earl, including the Mazarin Collection from Paris, bought in the 1720's.The State Apartments include the Single and Double Cube rooms which contain seat furniture by William Kent and an impressive number of portraits by Van Dyck, including the huge 'family piece' of the 4th Earl, as well as paintings by Lely, Rembrandt, Pieter Brueghel the Younger, and Gerrit van Honhorst, amongst others. We travel back to the hotel for your evening meal and a nice relax after a spectacular day.

This morning we have arranged a tour of No1 Royal Crescent. No. 1 Royal Crescent is a museum which has been decorated and furnished just as it might have been during the period 1776-1796. The rooms feature historic furniture, pictures and objects that reveal what life was like for Bath's fashionable residents - both upstairs and downstairs. Your guide will fascinate you with the history of the building which was also used as the Featherington's home in the series. This afternoon will be free time in the wonderful City of Bath. A World Heritage Site. Famous worldwide for its imposing architecture and Roman remains, Bath is a vibrant city with over 40 museums, good restaurants, quality shopping and theatres.

Sadly, we have to travel home today. Your driver will ensure comfort stops are arranged on the way.
