Monday

You depart early for your Scottish holiday. Your driver will ensure comfort stops are made on your way North and we will arrive late afternoon with time to settle in before your evening meal.

Tuesday

After breakfast please join your driver for a visit to the Dawyck Botanic Gardens. Home to some of the oldest and tallest trees in Scotland and varied wildlife. Dawyck Botanic Garden is a five star Garden renowned for its seasonal displays of snowdrops, bluebells, rhododendrons, azaleas, blue poppies and autumn colour. Located in the hills of the Scottish Borders, 65-acre Dawyck enjoys an almost continental climate comprising warm dry summers followed by cold, snowy winters which supply a diverse and unique habitat.

Wednesday

Today we have included a visit into the Gin Distillery on site at the hotel. After a quick drink and a lesson in all things Gin the tour will begin in the distillery where you will see 'Felicity' the 1501 copper still which makes up to 220 bottles each day. You will be offered a taste of a few of the favourites and a free 20cl bottle of the London 1881 Dry classic. Once you have spent time with the experts there will be free time in the shop where they will offer you a 10% discount. The tour lasts around an hour and the rest of the day will be spent as free time in Peebles or you could maybe arrange a spa treatment in the hotel (at an extra charge).

Thursday

Today is free at leisure in Peebles. Peebles is town for all seasons, its setting and character will take your breath away. Get to know Peebles with a stroll along our timeless High Street, meander in and about the alleyways and medieval closes and enjoy stunning walks along the River Tweed which have barely changed over the passing centuries. Peebles has also earned the distinction of being ranked as the Top Independent Retailing Town in Scotland, and second in the UK, for its range of independent shops and 'home town' identity in contrast to the ubiquitous 'cloned towns' common throughout the rest of the country.

Friday

We sadly say farewell to our hosts and travel back to Lincolnshire with comfort stops on the way.

The Peebles Hydro**** In 1905 the building burnt to a crisp and the stunning façade was born. This hotel features comfortable rooms and the best in hospitality. The Head Chef, Grant, will be busily preparing your food. Expect familiar, filling favourites, and he's a dab hand at adding interesting twists to the plate and palette. You'll find the menu packed full of ingredients sourced from right there in Scotland's larder - and lots of the veggies come straight from their very own gardens. So naturally, there are plenty of vegetarian options.
