Tuesday
After a lovely breakfast travel to Needles Park. The Needles on the Isle of Wight is one of the most photographed groups of rocks in the world. This row of three distinctive Chalk stacks features in all the classic views of the island, a truly unforgettable image. The Park includes Jurassic Adventure Golf, open top bus rides, boat trips, a traditional family Carousel, Victorian games and a wide variety of retail and catering facilities. We have included a boat ride around the Needles with informative commentary and some of the best views of the Needles, coloured sands and Alum Bay.
Wednesday
After breakfast we will meet the train from Havenstreet for a Steam journey to remember. Take a Ride behind one of our vintage steam locomotives for a special journey back in time. Breathe in the evocative smells of a real steam railway, while your eyes and ears thrill to the puffing and hissing of the steam engine. Settle back in beautifully restored Victorian and Edwardian carriages and enjoy a unique view of some of the Island's unspoilt countryside.
Thursday
Today we visit Osborne House, Queen Victoria and Prince Albert bought the Osborne estate on the Isle of Wight in 1845. There they created a private home away from court life. Victoria used Osborne for over 50 years, entertaining foreign royalty and visiting ministers, finding solace there after Albert's death in 1861. Today, many of the rooms are still filled with original furniture and works of art, while the planting in the grounds is to Albert's designs.
Friday
We have left today free for you to explore the Island at your Leisure. The Hop on Hop off bus service can take you anywhere you wish to go and is very reasonable on price. Maybe visit the Brading Roman Villa or just paddle in the beautiful waters of the Solent from the Sandown Beach. The Esplanade is packed full of cafes, restaurants, bars, hotels and gift shops. There's deck chairs and sun loungers for hire and even pedalos and kayaks if you're looking for a little more adventure. During the summer, Sandown beach is machine cleaned and litter picked on a daily basis to ensure a safe playground for all visitors. The beach is also a winner of the prestigious Blue Flag, recognising beaches that are of the highest quality and has also held the Water Quality Award since 1996.
