After the success of last years day excursion, we have added Normanby Hall to our itinerary for 2024 . A chance to delve into the history of this magnificent Hall and its grounds. Explore the beautiful walled garden or take a visit to the Stable yard cafe and gift shop on site.
A relaxing tour of the Derbyshire Dales calling at Bakewell and Buxton. Bakewell is famous for its pudding / tart and is a thriving market town with many small independent shops and cafes. Buxton is a Spa town with its famous crescent. There is a fountain fed direct from the Spa waters that you can fill your water bottles from and many sights to see like the Pavilion Gardens.
In the mornnig we will spend a couple of hours at the Peak Shopping Village, with plenty of time to have a meander around some well know and bespoke shopping outlets before we make our way to the beautiful Chatsworth House. Here you can enjoy the splendor of this magnificent stately home with the majestic gardens during your visit. Before we return home we make one last stop at the "Award Winning Estate Farmshop" selling a selection of beautiful produce.
Join us for a visit to the magnificent Blenheim Palace for one of the largest exhibitions held in its 300-year history. The Icons of British fashion. The tour begins in the Great Hall so does the vast collection of drawings, materials, clothing, accessories, and photographs which are displayed throughout the palace. The exhibitions feature fashion from the past to present with many bespoke designers such as Lulu Guinness, Stella McCartney, Barbour, and Vivienne Westwood to name just a few.
A chance to experience a return journey from Keighley & Worth Valley Railway in the morning. Followed by a visit to Saltaire which was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2001. Famous for Salts Mill, which tells a story of the textile industry in the latter half of the 19th Century.
